Recruitment Process

The Placement Cell at International Management Institute Kolkata acts as a dedicated interface for the students and the industry for a seamless integration of all necessary knowledge transfer and coordination.

For the students, it helps in creating the necessary awareness regarding employment opportunities, pitching themselves as per industry expectations and in their capacity-building for value-addition to the corporate. For the industry, it provides a platform from where recruiters can identify talent as per their requirements.

  • A company is encouraged to conduct a pre-placement talk (PPT) to highlight available job profiles, career growth opportunities and compensation details.
  • After the PPT, interested students would register themselves for the selection process. The company can conduct this process (GD/Case Study/Written Test/Personal Interview) for interested students on the same day.
  • In case the company cannot visit the campus for the PPT, recruiters are requested to forward a softcopy of their PPT which would be shared with students. CVs of interested students (who register after going through PPT) would be forwarded to the company. The company can then conduct their selection process (GD/Personal Interview) through videoconferencing.
  • The companies are invited to the campus for conducting their selection process, the month of September onwards.

Business Thought Leadership Series

Leadership Lecture Series are conducted in IMI Kolkata, where senior corporate executives interact with the students and share meaningful insights with them. It provides a platform for the business students to perceive practical business aspects. Industry leaders from AmbujaNeotia, Cognizant, National Stock Exchange, Eveready, Mahindra Finance among others have participated in these forums.

Live Projects

Corporate organizations provide students with short-term projects that provide them an opportunity to apprise themselves about various practical domains. Students choose to work in the projects spanning varied industries and sectors to enhance their cross-functional skill sets. This year, students have participated in live projects offered by Future Retail, QED Tangram (erstwhile Dun & Bradstreet).
